Little trip East

An active saturday ! Opened an account at the Bank of America which was quite funny:
1) My passport wasn't copied, but my working VISA was...some strange rule from the polemic US Patriot Act
2) I got to choose the cheque layout: no boring plain color grey cheques in the States ! A huge folder with backgrounds varying from mickey mouse to stars and stripes, from sexy pin-ups to historical maps. I went for the "Pacific highlights" design, picturing beautiful spots along the West coast :o)

With a lovely rare blue sky I decided to head East and check out some surroundings. I was amazed: snow-topped mountains within half an hour, huge farms and country music within an hour, and a canyon and dessert within 2 hours. For the first time I really felt that American "on the road" feeling, and I'm sure it was the perfect appetizer for an adventurous year to come.
The map shows my trip to Ellensburg and back, the red dot is where the pictures were taken (Snoqualmie).

Stijn, what amazing pics you got there... waw! The only thing that keeps you from becoming a true American in hart and kidneys is a pic whit a burger in one hand and an Americanflag in the other, followed by the next words => I'm going for president.

Plz send me that shot in front of a McDonalds.
