A bed in Seattle
"Krakers" are officially "living" somewhere when they have a bed, a table and one chair. Time had come to upgrade from the student's mattress on the floor to a real bed; after all I'm a working class engineer and I needed the comfort and the space below it ;o).
It took a few attempts sending e-mails but finally I was lucky: browsing through the great second hand craigslist got me a microsofty nerd getting rid of his new bed because his girlfriend wanted a different design....well....life's hard for some... Anyway, the only thing I had to do was pick it up in nearby Fremont, so I borrowed Adrian's truck and had the driving experience of my life. The slow braking, the old mechanics, the heavy steering, the creeping doors and the good old shift stick: I loved every second of it.
